01

Music through the spaces where people gathered

The main living room opens towards outdoor dining, the pool and cabana, with a separate rear retreat adding another place for family and guests. Status supplied the Control4 multi-room audio system, bringing music through the kitchen, living room and outdoor patio, with the office connected as well.

02

Staying connected across the property

The pool and entertaining areas sit between the main house and rear accommodation, which made communication an important part of the system.

A Control4 touchscreen at the rear of the property lets the family talk between areas, and lets anyone in the rear retreat answer the front gate without returning to the main house.

03

A cinema that worked with the owners' equipment

The dedicated theatre created a separate place to settle in for a film. Status supplied the projection and screen system and integrated the cinema with speakers and an amplifier the owners already had.

04

Leaving room for more fun

Status substantially prewired the house, leaving room for ideas the family could take further later.

One was a projector that would lower from the cabana roof and cast movies across the pool onto the side wall. Wiring was run for that projector, with speaker cable beside and along the top of the large brick wall for a front sound stage.

Speaker cable also runs underground for a garden-bed subwoofer, inspired by the subterranean subwoofer in Status's home-show demonstration.

Cypress Terrace was designed as one property, with entertainment and communication connecting spaces that sit apart.
